While Conor and Erin’s Oct. 4 wedding day wasn’t particularly sunny, there was plenty of light and laughter to more than make up for that! I’ve known Conor since we were young, as our [awesome, beautiful, fun] moms have worked together for a very long time (hi, you two!). I was thrilled when Erin contacted me last year to talk about photographing their big day and I’m so glad it all worked out!
It was my first time shooting out at Cedar Creek Resort and the venue did not disappoint. The cabins, lodge, grounds and tent were all amazing…and the rented golf carts just made things that much more fun! Erin’s gorgeous smile, attention to detail and flawless fashion sense combined to make my job really easy…until it came to narrowing down the number of images to include in this post. So I didn’t.
Um, those shoes? Perfection.
Love this pair of images and how the same pose can look so different (and so good!) from two different angles. (Shout out to my favorite second shooter, Erin Duggin!)
I couldn’t resist sharing this “encounter” Erin’s sister Anna had with a bird and its business…we had just started taking wedding party photos and SPLAT! Luckily, no beautiful dresses or hair were harmed in the encounter, and Conor’s sister Kelley used her quick-thinking and low-gross-out-threshold “Mom Skills” to wipe it off. Just one more reason we had so much fun spending the day with these beautiful ladies!
What a good looking wedding party…such style!
Is her smile infectious or what?
Confetti, high fives and fist pumps for marriage!
Conor and Erin’s niece was the flower girl and only narrowly avoided stealing the show from Erin… 😉
After the ceremony, we snuck away to a nearby field (let’s hear it for golf carts!) to get some of my favorite shots of the day.
Then it was time to celebrate!
Erin and Conor both grew up in Columbia, but became two different kinds of “Tigers” after leaving home — the groom’s cake(s) were perfect!
A wedding first for me – so fun!
I love when the parents of the couple have as much fun at the reception as the “kids” do!
Conor and Erin, thank you for letting me capture your beautiful wedding day — you were so much fun to work with and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
